I heart the Grocery Game

This morning I bought all this stuff and paid only $50.21, including two chickens, milk, produce, ice cream, and a whole mini-stash of toiletries (which we all know can really be expensive). I saved 42%!!!!!!

I was introduced to The Grocery Game last summer by one of my expert-shopping mom friends and I have been hooked ever since. GG is online site that generates sale lists from your local stores and then couples then with your existing coupons and generates a customizable list that helps you save big!

I subscribe to the Giant Eagle list, but there are other lists in the Pittsburgh area, including CVS and Walgreens. I pay $10 for every 8 weeks and as much as I hate to pay a "membership", this one is well worth the money. In my opinion, I am paying for the time-saving service of having someone else match my coupons up to weekly sales for me. I easily make up the fees in savings every week.

Each week I print out the Giant Eagle list, which comes out on Sunday. I cut and file my coupons early in the week and shop before the sale ends on Wednesday. By combining in-store sales and coupons, I regularly save between 30-40%.

I am hooked! Check it out :
